Straßbourg, March 12 2025 – Today, Lukas Sieper organized a powerful photo action in the European Parliament to stand in solidarity with the Uyghur community. The event was held in response to Thailand’s recent deportation of Uyghur refugees to China – a move Sieper condemned as a “grave human rights violation.”

“These individuals now face torture and persecution — we must not stay silent,” Sieper stated. Joined by colleagues from across the political spectrum, he called for international attention and action.

“Human rights are non-negotiable,” Sieper emphasized, urging the global community to increase pressure on China.
